Guidelines:

What to Expect Before the Podcast:

Prior to the actual recording, we’ll have a few moments to get to know you and check your sound quality, which will give you a chance to meet your podcast host and begin the process of building rapport before the podcast. This will also give your podcast host a chance to get to know you and your voice. We know this time will set you up for success.

Prior to Recording:

• Review the Podcast Etiquette document.
• Please be sure to have a microphone and headset. Built-in computer microphones are NOT acceptable. Wireless or bluetooth microphones are also NOT acceptable.
• We will record audio and video. Please make sure you have a proper webcam.
• You will receive an email invitation with a link to a podcast recording tool; please login 5min. prior to the start of the call, just in case you run into any system issues with logging in.
• Please ensure your computer is hard-wired to the internet, as wi-fi sometimes causes issues.
• Make sure you find a quiet space within the office to record, with a closed door, so there are no interruptions.
• Bring a glass of water with you to the recording; you will need a drink along the way!

During the Podcast Recording:

• Make sure you have everything on your computer closed. Please turn off all notifications and make sure you cell phone is silenced and not on the table by your computer.
• Watch your um’s, uh’s, etc.
• If you need time to think of an answer, take the time. We can edit out silences.
• If you have to sneeze, cough, or whatever, simply give us a second before and after of silence so we can edit this out in post production
• Leave pauses after you speak; this will help with editing.
• If you make a mistake, notify the podcast host, and let them know you would like to start over. Take a pause, and then re-start speaking.
• Laugh a little, engage in conversation.
• Remember, this is just like having a conversation. We are not live, and we can edit out mistakes (within reason). We are not perfect when we are talking, and it endears listeners to you when you are imperfect.
• Keep your energy high!

After the Podcast:

• We will schedule a post-recording meeting to discuss promotional efforts
• We will send you the final edited podcast, raw files, and social media assets we will be using in promotion
• Once published, we will tag you in posts, and ask that you share the podcast with your clients and followers on social media to help spread the word.

As a guest, you agree to the recording and distribution of your voice and performance as part of The Lawyer Millionaire Podcast. You also hereby acknowledge that Wurz Financial Services is the sole owner of all rights in and to the podcast, and that Wurz Financial Services has the sole right to use, publish and distribute the podcast and your performance in any and all media formats on all platforms worldwide, as they see fit, in perpetuity.

Any content or materials relating to the production and distribution of the podcast are the property of Wurz Financial Services, and Wurz Financial Services has the sole right to use, publish and distribute them in any and all platforms worldwide, as they see fit, in perpetuity.

You also hereby acknowledge the following:

• Nothing stated here implies that Wurz Financial Services has the right to exploit any of the rights granted.
• You agree that you will receive no compensation for any appearances made on the podcast.
• You agree to your name, image, and voice being used on the podcast, including any advertising or promotion material for the podcast.
• You hereby release and discharge Wurz Financial Services from any and all liability arising from or in connection to the making, producing, reproducing, distributing, publishing, and promotion of The Lawyer Millionaire Podcast.
